While searching Google for pick ups of our new release "Happy Accident", I came across a link to a web site of health tips around the Common Cold that featured our video from "Wear Your Socks to Bed". It's a connection for sure Lol.
I did a screen capture of it featured here. We've taken the video off line so it's not available anymore which I guess puts a wrinkle into the content there, but I find it hilariously funny that we would be linked to a site talking about cold cures in the first place. Actually, I guess, you could argue that wearing your socks to bed does work - several experiments were done with the Whiners family showing marginal success! So, there you have it … The Whiners assist in bringing medical breakthroughs to the world. Awesome!
While we are talking about oddities, here's another find. We listed on our cdbaby instructions for release who we sounded like. We put: Barenaked Ladies topically, Geroge Harrison sonically and Ricky Nelson vocally.
Ttradebit has us matched up with Ricky Nelson tunes now on one of their pages. My cousin actually made the comparison to Ricky. I can see it with my voice (Keith) but not so much Jamie. Anyhow, he (my cousin) also reminded me about this true Elvis story: When Sam Phillip's secretary at Sun Records in Memphis, Marion Keisker, asked a 19-year old Elvis Presley who he sounded like, he said, "I don't sound like nobody." Well, I kind of think that may be true for us in a way (though we sure ain't Elvis).
