Not anti-conservatives (necessarily) but sure anti-attack ads

My momma always taught me "if you don't have something nice to say about someone, don't say anything".  I know politics is a dangerous game and all, but I really am growing to despise attack ads.  The one by the Conservatives against (not the Liberals) but against Ignatieff is the most current example.  It was running before the election was called and seems to be running triple time now.  Each time I see it I grow more and more offended by it.

If you want to be Prime Minister (as do all the leaders) wouldn't you have to come back to Canada if you were away?  If you are the leader of the party who else speaks for the party?  Just those two aspects of the video's logic alone drives me up the wall.  It's having the opposite effect on me anyway.

Warren Kinsella from the Toronto Sun had a great column about this on Sunday, April 3, 2011. He states my thoughts quite well but, as always, some of the reader comments are just stupid to me and don't help the debate much.

But I digress … this YouTube video I just heard about is a great parody.

And also, as a blog cut, the proverbial Whiners song for election campaigns: The Bureaucracy Song - from a Keith solo show during the last election 2008.

Vote early and vote often.
